US Treasury Picks State Street, BlackRock and Vanguard ETFs for Trump Accounts

The U.S. Treasury Department announced the investment options for new Trump Accounts, selecting exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from BlackRock, State Street and Vanguard. All contributions will be defaulted to State Street’s SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF, which will serve as the default fund at launch. Additional approved options include BlackRock’s iShares Core S&P 500 ETF and Total U.S. Stock Market ETF, State Street’s SPDR Portfolio S&P 1500 ETF and Vanguard’s Total Stock Market ETF. The program provides a $1,000 government-funded investment account for every eligible child born between 2025 and 2028, with many investment firms and corporations pledging matching contributions for employees’ children.
