Poll Reveals Trust Beats Performance in Investor-Advisor Relationships

A survey of 1,000 U.S. investors conducted late last year by financial technology company CapIntel found that 72% identified trust as the most critical factor when choosing an advisor. The survey found breaches of trust are the leading reason investors cut ties with advisors, with 61% citing it as a main factor. That puts it above poor investment performance, which was indicated by 54% of investors.
