Proposed Rule Changes for 401(k)s

A bipartisan proposal in Congress called the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act 3.0 aims to modernize retirement laws and give retirees more flexibility with their 401(k) withdrawals. Part of the impetus for SECURE 3.0 is to implement the Government Accountability Office’s recommendations and revise the 402(f) Notices to make them easy for ordinary account holders to understand. The bill would also give individuals aged 50 or older the ability to transfer their 401(k) funds into an annuity.
