NYSE To Launch 24/7 Trading Platform for Blockchain-Based Securities

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) announced plans to launch a 24/7 trading platform for tokenized securities, leveraging blockchain technology to allow companies to issue digital tokens representing shares. Unlike traditional NYSE trading, which operates weekdays with T+1 settlement, the new platform would settle transactions instantly and enable funding via stablecoins. The initiative, still awaiting regulatory approval, reflects Wall Street’s growing embrace of crypto-inspired innovations, following moves by JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and others into tokenized funds. If approved, the platform could allow blue-chip companies to issue tokenized shares accessible to U.S. investors.
