Gen Z, Millennials Share Need for Financial Advice

A recent Equitable study and CFP Board survey highlight strong demand for financial guidance among Millennials and Gen Z. As Millennials anticipate inheriting significant assets through the “Great Wealth Transfer,” almost 70% expect to receive inheritances, prioritizing advisors who combine human guidance with technology. While college students report confidence in basic money management, 65% want to learn more about saving, investing and debt, and over half expect to need professional advice upon entering the workforce. Trust in family and financial planners is high, yet many students struggle to find advisors or feel hesitant to ask questions. The findings suggest a growing opportunity for advisors to engage younger generations.
