CFP Diversity Ticks Up in 2022

The number of female certified financial planners (CFPs) increased to an all-time high of 22,446 in 2022, a 4.4% increase from the year prior. Female CFPs now account for 23.6% of all CFPs, up from 23.4% in 2021, according to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. The number of racially and ethnically diverse professionals, meanwhile, increased to 8,715 in 2022, up 8.5% over 2021, representing 2.5 times the overall growth rate of all CFP professionals.
