World's Top Asset Managers Rebounded to $128T in 2023

The world’s 500 largest asset managers amassed a combined $128 trillion in assets under management (AUM) by the end of last year, according to data from Willis Towers Watson's Thinking Ahead Institute, a 12.5% increase compared to the end of 2022. Equity holdings accounted for 48.3% of the total, while fixed income at 29% fell slightly from last year as investors shifted toward alternatives. Geographically, North America topped the list with a 15% increase in AUM, representing 60.8% of the global total.
