Vanguard Plans To Launch Its First Active Stock-Picking ETFs

Vanguard plans to launch its first actively managed U.S. stock exchange-traded funds (ETFs) this year, according to regulatory filings. The ETFs, managed by Wellington Management, will be versions of three existing mutual funds focused on dividend growth, growth stocks and value stocks. While Vanguard has previously introduced active bond ETFs, this marks its entry into stock-picking ETFs. The move comes amid a surge in actively managed ETF launches, which now account for 37% of U.S. ETF inflows, with Vanguard positioning its new products as disciplined, investor-focused strategies expected to attract steady demand.
