RIA M&A Activity Rebounded in Q3: Echelon

Mergers and acquisitions in the registered investment advisor space rebounded in the third quarter after a slump earlier this year, according to a new report from investment banking firm Echelon Partners. In all, 86 deals took place in the third quarter, 32% more than the 65 recorded in the second quarter, when deal activity reached a two-year low. The number of deals in the third quarter was the largest for any quarter since early 2022 and the fourth most active quarter on record, according to Echelon, which attributes the jump to “some pent-up demand being released.”
