Raymond James Hires Dimensional Exec To Build Out ETF Strategy

Raymond James Investment Management has hired Kristi Higgins as head of exchange-traded fund (ETF) strategy as it expands its presence in the growing active ETF market. Higgins joined from Dimensional Fund Advisors, where she worked as a senior investment strategist and vice president, and will report to Johan Grahn, who leads ETFs at Raymond James. In her new role, Higgins will help develop and grow the firm’s ETF platform, which currently includes a lineup of actively managed funds run by Eagle Asset Management. The firm is aiming to convert more of its existing strategies into ETFs, which are increasingly popular with financial advisors due to tax efficiency and trading flexibility.
