Help Shape the BISA 2027 Annual Conference: Join the Conference Planning Committee

The BISA annual conference is shaped by the ideas, insights and collaboration of members across the industry — and the volunteers behind the scenes play a major role in bringing that experience to life.
BISA is now seeking volunteers to serve on the BISA 2027 Annual Conference Planning Committee (CPC) for next year’s event taking place March 7-10, 2027, at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
From helping guide the conference theme and education strategy to reviewing speaker proposals and supporting onsite sessions, CPC members help shape the conversations and experiences attendees take away from the event. Members also serve as ambassadors throughout the conference, helping create the welcoming, collaborative environment that defines the BISA annual conference.
What Does the Committee Do?
The CPC brings together a range of perspectives from across BISA membership. Financial institutions, banks, credit unions, broker-dealers and service providers all contribute ideas and experiences that help ensure the conference remains timely, relevant and valuable for attendees at every stage of their career.
CPC members are involved in several aspects of conference development and execution, including:
- Helping shape the conference’s educational strategy and identify timely industry topics
- Reviewing and scoring keynote and concurrent session proposals
- Supporting assigned speakers and helping ensure session content aligns with BISA standards and attendee expectations
- Serving as onsite hosts for concurrent sessions and networking events
- Acting as conference ambassadors by welcoming attendees and encouraging engagement throughout the event
- Sharing ideas and best practices to enhance networking and attendee experiences
The planning cycle begins in June 2026 and continues through the conclusion of the conference in March 2027. Committee members meet virtually throughout the planning process and are expected to attend the full conference onsite.

For members looking to become more involved with BISA, the committee also offers an opportunity to build new relationships, gain leadership experience and contribute directly to one of the association’s flagship events.
How to Get Involved
Committee members are selected through an open application process. Interested applicants will submit a statement of interest, and final selections will be based primarily on the application materials provided.
Service is open to employees of BISA member financial institutions, as well as Platinum Leadership and Leadership member companies. Applicants must maintain BISA membership in good standing throughout their term.
