New York Life To Combine Investment Businesses

New York Life Insurance will merge its $785 billion general account and third-party asset management businesses into a single global investment platform, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The unified platform aims to leverage the firm’s full investment capabilities across public and private markets while maintaining autonomy for portfolio management teams. The company plans major investments in asset origination, product development, distribution, technology and infrastructure. Naim Abou-Jaoude, current CEO of New York Life Investment Management, will lead the new platform. The firm said the integration will foster collaboration, drive innovation and accelerate growth while enhancing service to clients worldwide.
