NY Fed Appoints Citi CEO Jane Fraser to Federal Advisory Council

Jane Fraser, chief executive of Citigroup, has been appointed to the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for a one-year term. The council advises the Federal Reserve Board on economic and banking issues and includes representatives from each regional district. Separately, Fraser, the first woman to lead a major U.S. bank, noted to clients that global economic dynamics are shifting, with government policies increasingly influencing trade, technology and capital flows. Despite geopolitical tensions, she reaffirmed Citigroup’s commitment to the Middle East, while highlighting growing uncertainty as traditional global economic structures evolve.
