Most Advisors Recommend ETF Strategies to Clients, State Street Poll Reveals

The adoption of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in retail investor portfolios is some way behind that of institutional investors, but financial advisors are trying to change that, according to a new report from State Street Global Advisors. The report found that 70% of advisors always or often recommend that clients use ETF strategies. Advisors are most likely to suggest ETFs due to cost efficiency (44%), diversification benefits (43%) and trading flexibility (43%).
