In-Person Meetings Are Back for FAs

Financial advisors are engaging face to face with their clients more frequently amid the current economic situation, according to a new report from Edward Jones. About three quarters of advisors report greater engagement with clients, Edward Jones says it found in a survey of 200 financial advisors conducted March 24 to 31. Some 44% of respondents say they’re communicating with clients monthly, 42% say they’re doing it weekly, 10% do so several times a month and 4% on a quarterly basis. About 38% of advisors say in-person meetings are the most common way they engage with clients, compared to 24% for email, 23% for phone calls and 16% for virtual meetings, Edward Jones found.
