First Commonwealth Acquires Pennsylvania Insurance Specialists

First Commonwealth Financial Corp. has acquired The Pennsylvania Insurance Specialists (PIS) through its First Commonwealth Insurance Agency subsidiary. Founded in 1998 by Anne and Lexie Petrof, PIS provides home, auto, life and business insurance to customers in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Both Petrofs have joined First Commonwealth Insurance Agency, with Anne becoming a consumer insurance advisor and Lexie a consumer insurance account executive. First Commonwealth said the acquisition will give PIS customers access to additional insurance products, services, competitive rates and coverage. The companies cited shared customer-service values and community ties.
