Fidelity Unveils Resources To Help Advisors Go Independent

Fidelity announced Tuesday that it has created a new educational platform called the Independence Hub to help advisors navigate the decision-making process and learn about the benefits and challenges of breaking away. A survey published by Fidelity to mark the hub’s launch shows only about half of advisors consider themselves knowledgeable about firm types and independence models, while only a quarter know the various intermediaries that can help with finding a firm. “There is a general movement of teams that are working in large firms, large wirehouse firms that are looking to provide different capabilities or services to their clients and moving to go independent,” said Rohit Mahna, head of client growth at Fidelity Institutional Wealth Management Services. “That’s something we've been tracking for quite some years now, and our teams internally have been working with these teams and our data is just proving it now. So, this is our response to that.”
