Family, Prudence Shape Asian Americans’ Financial Habits

A new study from Fidelity Investments on the financial behaviors and future expectations of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities in the United States found that two-thirds of AAPI individuals are satisfied with their saving habits, compared to 60% of the broader U.S. population. The study also highlights a gap in financial advisory services for the community. Just 4% of certified financial planners identify as AAPI, which may be why only 17% of AAPI individuals Fidelity surveyed said they work with financial advisors.
