DIME Program Graduates High School Students With Aim To Improve Diversity in Asset Management

Women and minority groups remain underrepresented in the asset management industry, but organizations such as Diversity Investment Management Engagement (DIME) are working to boost their numbers. DIME’s two-year virtual learning program introduces financial concepts to high school students of diverse backgrounds. The hope is “that not only they would learn about wealth building but perhaps they might find a passion and love for investing and ultimately pursue a career path in the investment industry,” says DIME leader Dion Woods, head of institutional client group Southeast at Allspring Global Investments.
