Advisors Spend 15% of Their Time on Investment Management

Financial advisors spend an average of 15% of their work time on investment management, according to a survey of more than 500 advisors by Fuse Research Network, but the value proposition to clients they ascribe to this role is considerably higher, at 36% on average. Advisors are turning to third parties to provide investment management services to clients, the survey found, outsourcing an average of 25% of client assets to third-party or home office models, turnkey asset management programs, outsourced chief investment officer services and other investment solutions.
