Advisors Can't Find Information Online From Asset Managers: J.D. Power

A J.D. Power survey of over 3,000 financial advisors found just 37% said they can easily find the information they need from asset managers online, and only 34% said the tools they need to research investment products are easily accessible. Only three of the 14 companies polled — BlackRock, Capital Group, and J.P. Morgan — earned top marks in the 20th percentile. Asset managers with the highest levels of digital engagement were not only cultivating the best brand perceptions, but bringing in the largest inflows of new investment from advisors, while managers with less digital engagement lagged. "This puts a focus on advisor-facing websites as a critical component of the end-user experience and shines a light on some significant challenges many firms are facing when it comes to building engagement online," said J.D. Power's Amit Aggarwal.
