A Record-Shattering $1 Trillion Poured Into ETFs Last Year

Investors poured over $1 trillion into U.S.-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in 2024, breaking the previous record set in 2021. The rebound from 2023’s lackluster flows marked a broad embrace of U.S. assets. Total assets in U.S.-based ETFs topped a record $10.6 trillion as of Nov. 30, an increase of more than 30% from the beginning of 2024.
