Truist Names New Wealth Co-Heads in Leadership Shakeup
by: Diana Britton
Truist Financial has appointed Jeff Dunn and Bryan Cram as interim co-heads of its wealth division, succeeding Brian Dowhower, who will step down from the role later this year. Dunn leads Truist Private Banking, specialty wealth and institutional services, while Cram heads Truist Wealth Brokerage. Both will report to Kristin Lesher, chief wholesale banking officer. The leadership change follows Truist’s July appointment of Shimna Sameer, formerly head of products, solutions and platforms at Bank of America Private Bank, to lead wealth. Sameer will instead become Truist’s chief consumer banking officer. Dowhower praised Dunn and Cram for their experience, strategic insight and commitment to clients and colleagues. The changes come amid broader leadership transitions at Truist: Michael Lyons became president and CEO in September, succeeding Bill Rogers, who moved to executive chair under a planned succession.
