Raymond James To Acquire $46B Clark Capital Management

Raymond James announced it will acquire Philadelphia-based Clark Capital Management Group, which oversees about $46 billion in assets, in one of its largest deals in recent years. Founded in 1986, Clark Capital provides multi-asset and customized portfolios, mutual funds and services for high-net-worth clients and financial advisors. After the acquisition, Clark Capital will retain its brand, leadership and investment approach while joining Raymond James Investment Management as a boutique asset manager. The deal signals a selective expansion strategy for Raymond James, which has historically been cautious on mergers, focusing on acquisitions that align with its client-focused philosophy and offer strong long-term returns.
