Merrill Recruiting Sweep Nets $1.5 Billion Advisor Team From Morgan Stanley

Merrill recruited several advisors from Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo and Edward Jones, including a Boulder, Colorado-based Morgan Stanley team overseeing $1.5 billion in client assets. The group is led by veteran adviser Todd Hatfield and includes three associates. Merrill also added advisers managing approximately $131 million, $125 million and $100 million in separate moves. The hires show the continued intensity of recruiting competition among major wealth management firms as wirehouses seek experienced teams with established client relationships and portable assets.
