Huntington Bank Picks CEO Successor To Lead Next Phase of Growth
by: Yizhu Wang
Huntington Bancshares has promoted Brant Standridge to president, positioning him as the likely successor to CEO Steve Steinour, who plans to remain in the role for several more years. Standridge joined Huntington in 2022 to lead consumer and regional banking and played a central role in the acquisitions of Cadence Bank and Veritex Holdings, overseeing their due diligence and integration. As president, he will oversee Huntington’s three major business lines: consumer and regional banking, commercial banking and payments. Huntington is expected to appoint a new leader for consumer and regional banking next year. Standridge previously worked at Truist and BB&T. His promotion reflects Huntington’s broader succession planning as regional banks prepare for leadership transitions among executives who guided their companies through and beyond the financial crisis.
