Gen X Investors Feeling Underserved

A FTSE Russell survey of 750 U.S. investors with at least $250,000 in assets finds broad satisfaction with financial advisors, but Generation X (Gen X) stands out as underserved and stressed about their financial futures. About 57% of Gen Xers report high advisor satisfaction, compared to 72% of Boomers and 69% of Millennials. Forty percent feel stressed about portfolios, and over 40% worry about meeting financial goals in five years. Despite this, Gen Xers are in peak earning and spending years, controlling 30% of U.S. household spending. The findings highlight opportunities for advisors to better address Gen X’s unique needs and strengthen intergenerational financial planning.
