Financial Advisors Aren't Sold on Crypto

A BitWise Asset Management survey of 600 financial advisors in January found most are not investing their clients' money in cryptocurrencies, with just 15% allocating a portion — typically no more than 5% — of their clients' portfolios in crypto in 2021. Some advisors are restricted from holding crypto for clients by their trading rules, with the situation compounded by regulatory unknowns. Others are avoiding crypto because of their volatility and risk. The BitWise poll found about 94% of advisors said they fielded questions about crypto from clients.
