Citi Rolls Out Pair of AI-powered Banking Platforms

Citigroup has launched two AI-powered platforms in its wealth advisory division to improve efficiency and client service. The in-house tools include AskWealth, a generative AI assistant providing market insights and research, and Advisor Insights, a machine learning-based markets dashboard now in pilot testing. Powered initially by Meta’s Llama LLM, AskWealth will soon transition to Google’s Gemini, while generative AI will also be embedded into Advisor Insights. Citi executives said the platforms will save advisors time while enhancing personalization. The initiatives reflect the bank’s broader modernization strategy, which has included AI adoption in coding, knowledge management, fraud prevention and compliance.
