Cetera Taps Veteran Primerica, Raymond James Execs as New RIA and Branches Leaders

Cetera has strengthened its registered investment advisor (RIA) leadership by appointing two experienced wealth management executives to leadership roles within its RIA and Branches channel. Torrance Chaplin, formerly with Primerica, will lead Cetera Investors, while Sean Marrin, previously with Raymond James, will head the RIA Network platform. Together, they bring more than 50 years of industry experience in advisor development, recruiting and business growth. The appointments are part of Cetera's broader leadership expansion following the creation of its RIA and Branches unit in 2025. Recent organizational changes also include new executive hires and the consolidation of planning-focused RIAs to strengthen competitiveness and support advisor growth amid industry consolidation.
