BMO Names US Exec Rahul Nalgirkar as Finance Chief, Tuzun to Retire

Bank of Montreal (BMO) announced that Rahul Nalgirkar, finance chief of its U.S. operations, will succeed Tayfun Tuzun as CFO. The move supports BMO’s U.S. expansion, including its $16.3 billion acquisition of BNP Paribas’ U.S. unit, Bank of the West, in 2023. Nalgirkar, who joined BMO in 2022, previously held finance roles at Fifth Third Bank, GE Capital and Citigroup. Tuzun, also a former Fifth Third Bank executive, will retire in early 2026.
