Financial advisors and their clients in Florida were impacted heavily by Hurricane Ian. Full of retirees, Florida is also densely populated with financial advisors, many of whom moved there to follow their clients. Raymond James closed its home offices early in St. Petersburg in preparation for the storm and to ensure the safety of its staff. “We’ve enacted our business continuity and evacuation plans to ensure support for critical operations from our Memphis, Southfield, Mich., and Denver facilities,” the company said in a statement.
