Top U.S. House Tax Writer Floats Tax Bill on Retirement Plans, IRS
U.S. Representative Kevin Brady, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee until early January, on Monday released a sweeping tax bill that he says would affect Americans’ retirement savings and redesign the IRS. The measure covers, among other things, retirement savings plans such as 401(k)s and IRAs. The legislation’s outlook was not immediately clear, with Congress likely to be busy in the “lame duck” session.
