CFPB Sets Date for Conference on "Abusive Acts"

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) will hold a conference on June 25 on the definition of “abusive acts or practices,” a provision added by the Dodd-Frank to strengthen enforcement against wrongdoing by those selling financial products. The conference is the first in a series of planned symposia on “outstanding, challenging issues the bureau is facing,” announced by agency director Kathy Kraninger in April.
